Ramayanam Lakshmi Narayana Rao -
Founder & Managing Director

When I founded Sowbhagya Biotech in 2003, my vision was to build a science-driven organization capable
of delivering innovative, sustainable, and commercially viable solutions for agriculture.

I believed that the future of farming would depend on technologies that enhance productivity while
preserving environmental balance and supporting long-term
agricultural resilience.

My academic background in Plant Physiology from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, coupled with nearly
two decades of working experience, provided me with
deep insights into the evolving needs of agriculture.

These experiences inspired me to establish Sowbhagya Biotech as a research-led enterprise where
innovation, quality, and scientific excellence form
the foundation of every solution we develop.

From the outset, investment in research and development has been central to our growth strategy.
Our DSIR-recognized R&D Centre reflects our
commitment to advancing biotechnology through continuous innovation.

Today, Sowbhagya Biotech is evolving into an integrated biotechnology company serving agriculture,
animal nutrition, aquaculture, and allied
industries.

“Our vision is to build strategic partnerships across global markets through scientific innovation,
regulatory excellence, and sustainable technologies.”
